Due to the active monsoon, thunderclouds are forming in the North Bay of Bengal and there is an abundance of air pressure differences. Due to this, gusty/stormy winds with heavy to very heavy rains may blow over the North Bay of Bengal, coastal areas of Bangladesh and seaports.
Due to this, the seaports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to display local warning signal number three.
This information was given in a weather warning signed by Meteorologist Kho. Hafizur Rahman today, Tuesday.
In the warning, fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay of Bengal have been asked to approach the coast with caution until further notice.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am today has said that temporary gusty winds accompanied by lightning/light to moderate rain/thunderstorm may occur in most places of Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and many places of Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions. Along with this, moderate to heavy to very heavy rain may occur in some places across the country.
However, the day and night temperatures may decrease slightly across the country, the Meteorological Department said.
Regarding the synoptic situation, the department says that a low pressure has formed in the southwestern part of Bangladesh and adjacent areas. The extension of the low pressure extends up to the north Bay of Bengal. The monsoon is active in the southern part of the country and is fairly active elsewhere and is strong in the north Bay of Bengal.
Sunset in Dhaka today is at 6:48 pm and sunrise tomorrow is at 5:11 am.
