Russia has expressed its “clear position” condemning the US and Israeli attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities. It has also made it clear that it plans to further expand its relations with the country in addition to supporting Iran.
Some analysts have criticized Russia for not supporting Iran enough. In response, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, “Many are trying to pour gasoline on the fire and destroy relations between Moscow and Tehran.”
Peskov said that during a recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi described Moscow’s role as “extremely valuable.”
Araghchi thanked Vladimir Putin for condemning the US attack on Iran, saying, “Russia is on the right side.”
