The International Crimes Tribunal has issued a notice ordering former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, who are absconding in a case of crimes against humanity in the July-August genocide, to surrender.
The tribunal’s registrar issued the notice on Tuesday. The notice has been published in the newspaper. If they do not appear within the next 7 days, the trial will continue in their absence.
Earlier, on Monday, the tribunal ordered former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, who are absconding in a case of crimes against humanity in the July-August genocide, to appear within a week. The next hearing of the case has been fixed for June 24.
