The names of three residential halls of Pabna Government Edward College have been changed. The names of the halls have been changed with the approval of the Academic Council in response to the demands of the students.
It is learned that Sheikh Russell Hostel has been named ‘Bijoy 24 Hostel’, Begum Fazilatunnesa Hostel has been named ‘Ayesha Siddika (RA) Hostel’ and Suchitra Sen Hostel has been named ‘Julai 36 Hostel’.
College Principal Professor Abdul Awal Mia unveiled the nameplates of the halls on Tuesday (May 20).
Vice Principal Professor Mohd. Abdul Khalek, Secretary of the Teachers’ Council Professor Lutfar Rahman, Joint Secretary Rafiqul Islam, Superintendents of the halls, heads of various departments, representatives of student organizations and others were also present at the time.
