An investigation has been launched into the crash of an Air India plane in Gujarat, India. The country’s Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu said that the Air Accidents Investigation Bureau has started an investigation into the crash of an Air India plane in Ahmedabad. The investigation will be carried out in accordance with international protocols.
Naidu said on his X handle, “The government has also formed a high-level committee in which experts from various fields will be present. The work of this committee will be to tighten the security of the aviation sector and to ensure that such incidents do not happen in the future.”
Forensic experts reached the scene on Friday morning and started collecting samples. In addition to India’s own investigation, an expert team from the US Federal Aviation Administration has already left for India. They are coming to assist India’s investigation.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that an expert team from his country has also left for Gujarat to assist in the investigation.
