Former SSF Director General’s bank accounts frozen and assets attached

The court has ordered the freezing of 34 bank accounts in the names of former Special Security Force (SSF) Director General Md. Mujibur Rahman and his wife Tasrin Mujibur. The court has also ordered the seizure of two flats, a plot and 69.79 percent land in Dhaka.

ACC sources said that the ACC applied to the court to seize and freeze Mujibur Rahman’s assets. On behalf of the ACC, the agency’s Deputy Director Md. Sirajul Haque filed the application seeking permission to freeze the bank accounts and seize the assets. Lawyer Mir Ahmed Ali Salam, representing the ACC, conducted the hearing in the court. Later, the court granted the application.

ACC sources said that the former SSF Director General and his wife have Tk 14.499 million in their bank accounts. Of these, Mujibur Rahman has 24 accounts and his wife has 10 accounts, ACC sources said.

The attached assets include a 4,050 square foot flat in Matikata, Mirpur, in Mujibur Rahman’s own name, a plot in Rupganj, Narayanganj, land in Khilkhet, Mirpur, Savar and Dhaka Cantonments, a flat in Sahara area of ​​the cantonment in his wife’s name, and seven deeded lands in Baunia area.
