US President Donald Trump has warned Israel not to carry out armed air strikes. He wrote on his Twitter account, “Israel. Don’t drop the bombs. If you do, it will be a major violation. Bring your pilots home, now!”
“I am not appeasing either side,” Trump wrote. “But I want to say to Israel in particular—it will be a major undeclared violation.”
The US president’s warning came as Israel, through its defense minister, announced plans for a new, catastrophic attack on Tehran’s targets.
Earlier on Tuesday morning, Iran and Israel announced that they had agreed to a ceasefire. However, within hours, Israel accused Iran of violating it, which it later denied.
