BNP Standing Committee member Salauddin Ahmed said that BNP and all political parties in the simultaneous movement want elections to be held in December. It is incomprehensible why the chief advisor blamed BNP for the elections.
He said this at a program to distribute clothes among the helpless on Manik Mia Avenue in the capital on Friday (May 30).
Salauddin Ahmed said that the chief advisor’s statement that only one party wants elections is not correct. He made such a comment because there is not enough information. If he said it due to an informational error, I will not criticize it.
He also said that the entire nation is waiting for fair and impartial elections. The BNP leader expressed hope that a specific roadmap for the elections will be provided by December very soon.
Salauddin Ahmed said that all the reforms and trials that are being talked about are ongoing processes. Reforms never end – they continue. We have to reform for the needs of the society and the country. Sheikh Hasina and her cronies must stand trial for all their crimes.
