Shakib Khan’s movie ‘Tandav’ has been released on Eid-ul-Azha. Directed by Raihan Rafi, it has already been well-received by the audience. However, the movie has already been a victim of piracy. Shakib Khan highlighted his strong stance against this piracy.
He said, ‘Bangla cinema is spreading all over the world today. Bengali cinema is being played with respect all over the world. A malicious group has come up to ruin that place. In other words, piracy is being targeted at movies that are doing well. I would say, this is not just a conspiracy against the movie, it is a conspiracy against the country.’
This superstar of Dhaka cinema said this at the special screening of ‘Tandav’ organized at the Sony Cineplex in the capital on Sunday evening. Shakib attended the theater that day and enjoyed the movie with everyone.
Before the start of the movie, Shakib said, ‘That nation is the most developed that nation advances culturally. Just when we are moving forward with our cinema and culture, our movies are being pirated. We saw it in the case of the movie “Barbad”. Piracy was committed even earlier in the case of the movie “Tandav”.’
Even though the movie ‘Tandav’ was pirated, the audience is still watching the movie in the theaters. Shakib did not forget to thank the audience and the administration for this. He said, ‘I thank the movie lovers of the country. Because, even after the piracy, they are watching the movie in the theaters. Our movie is still going housefull. This is a kind of struggle of the audience. Every person has to stand up and stand against piracy to save the movie.’
Present at the special show today were the director of ‘Tandav’, Raihan Rafi, producer Shahriar Shakeel, Redwan Roni, actors Gazi Raqayet, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Sabila Noor, AK Azad Setu, Salahuddin Lavlu, Suman Anwar, Mukit Zakaria.
Actresses Ajmeri Haque Badhan, Deepa Khandaker, Mandira Chakraborty, musician Jeffer Rahman, producer Chayanika Chowdhury and many others were also present.
