Asian University of Bangladesh announces full committee for ‘PUSAB’

‘PUSAB’ is a non-political, voluntary and education-friendly student organization, whose main objective is to protect the rights of students of private universities, play a role in solving their problems and create a creative and constructive student leadership.

The Asian University of Bangladesh officially announced the full committee of ‘PUSAB’ (Private University Students’ Association of Bangladesh) yesterday. Formed after a long wait, this committee includes 60 talented, conscious and responsible students from different departments and batches of the university.

‘PUSAB’ is a non-political, voluntary and education-friendly student organization, whose main objective is to protect the rights of students of private universities, play a role in solving their problems and create a creative and constructive student leadership. In the context of the growing importance of private universities in the higher education system of Bangladesh, the main goal of PUSAB is to unite the students of these universities, enhance their skills and ensure social participation.

Rakibul Hasan, a student of the Islamic Studies Department, took the responsibility of leadership at the event organized on this occasion. He will serve as the leader of this committee. Tamim Rana of the BBA Department and Jannatul Arabi Jerin of the English Department have been given the responsibility of deputy leaders.

The committee comprises students from various departments of the faculties of humanities, business education and science. Formed with the determination to work spontaneously in the interest of students, this team has a strong combination of energetic youth, who are already actively involved in academic and co-curricular activities.

The main activities of PUSAB include training for the development of professional skills of students, career counseling, various awareness programs, social and cultural events and building bridges between students and the administration.

While announcing the committee, Rakibul Hasan said, ‘We want PUSAB to be a platform like a guardian for all students. Where problems will not only be identified, but also solved. It will be an accountable, transparent and participatory organization.’

Under the new leadership, the students are hopeful that PUSAB will play a strong and positive role in the future and will be able to represent the students of Asian University of Bangladesh at the national level.

Congratulating the newly formed committee, the students of the university said that they will support this initiative and will provide overall support in all activities.
