92 more Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza

The Israeli occupation forces have killed 92 Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip. At least 16 of them were killed while collecting food.

The Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera reported this information in a report citing the Gaza Health Ministry.

According to the Health Ministry, 64 of the dead were residents of Gaza City and northern Gaza. The remaining 16 were killed while waiting for relief in the Netzarim Corridor.

An eyewitness to the attack on the hungry Palestinians told AFP that it was around 1 am. Shells and bombs were fired at us from tanks, warplanes and quadcopters. They started shooting at us. We had no choice but to flee.

The Israeli forces also attacked a makeshift tent in the Al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza. 13 Palestinians were killed in the attack.

Doctors said that at least 69 bodies and 221 wounded have been brought to various hospitals in Gaza in the last 24 hours.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, at least 55,706 people have been killed since the war began in October 2023. 130,101 have been injured.

Since Israel imposed a strict blockade on Gaza on March 18, food, medicine and fuel have been almost completely cut off. Although some aid was allowed to enter last month under international pressure, various aid agencies have said that it is insufficient compared to the demand.

On the other hand, the Gaza Media Office has previously reported that Israeli forces have completely or partially destroyed more than 1,000 homes in the northern Gaza Strip. In addition, more than 300,000 residents of the area have been pushed towards Gaza City, which lacks the necessary infrastructure to shelter them.

Meanwhile, after a long 15-month military campaign, Israel agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza on January 19 under pressure from the United States and the international community. After about two months of relative peace, Israel resumed airstrikes in Gaza in the third week of March, amid disagreements with Hamas over the withdrawal of troops from Gaza.

According to the United Nations, nearly 90 percent of Gaza’s Palestinian population has been displaced by the indiscriminate Israeli attacks. Most of the infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.
